The memorial office of Academician Alexander Naumovich Frumkin was created on the initiative of the Directorate of the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry named after V.I. A.N. Frumkin of the Russian Academy of Sciences, formed in 2005 by joining the Institute of Electrochemistry named after A.N. Frumkin RAS to the Institute of Physical Chemistry RAS. The creation of the Memorial Cabinet was supported by the Museum Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Department of Chemistry and Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences. After the official opening of the Memorial Cabinet, it was entered into the register of museum objects of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
